World Water Day 2024

Lessons from Dinosaurs, 2024

While making this design for National Clean Water Collective, there were several days when the water in my DC apartment wasn’t potable. I was making art about my connection to clean water and couldn’t even drink from my tap.

So instead, I focused on my connection to horseshoe crabs - a keystone species and an indicator of a healthy ecosystem. I grew up monitoring them in a river by my house and imagined a world where we didn’t need to track their existence (will share accompanying poem next).

This work was presented at the Collective’s “Wave of Change” fundraiser at the Climate Museum. What a dream to exhibit and speak at the Climate Museum alongside other amazing artists and panelists.

“Wave of Change” bags, shirts and postcards can be purchased from The National Clean Water Collective here.
